TECA Technology and Culture Project – Technological Platform for Tourism European Funds POR-Fesr Campania Region – (2016-2017)
The TECA Project offers three types of services:
• Micro Localization Services. Visitors who, inside a museum or in the park (outdoors, therefore) of a historic residence, approach a work of art, a painting, a vase, a statue, etc. can be located by TECA which immediately notifies the visitor’s smartphone of the services available, suitable for their profile, for example, downloading the information guide of the work or the price of a volume dedicated to the work, etc.
• Macro Localization Services. The Visitor, near the Museum or park in the previous example, has available, on his smartphone, sharing and exchange services with other visitors in the same location (eg: chat), or information services such as the cost of guides at the Museum, the menu of the restaurant, etc. These services are also provided among those suitable for your profile.
• Micro Localization Monitoring Services. A sensor management mechanism can activate automatic responses when certain thresholds of temperature, humidity, noise, etc. are exceeded. The BLED device can be used by the museum management to monitor the progress of groups along the route. In this way it is possible to coordinate guided tours in environments where the number of people cannot exceed certain thresholds per room.
